How Suman Dental Care handles details you give on this website under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023: what is collected, why, and your rights.
In short
When you ask for an appointment on this site, the clinic receives your name, phone number, preferred day and time, and the reason for your visit. It uses them to contact you about the appointment and for nothing else. This notice follows India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
Who is responsible
Suman Dental Care, G-10, Swiss Plaza, near Devdarshan Tower, opposite BOB–Manekbaug Hall, Nehrunagar, Ambawadi, Ahmedabad 380015, decides why and how your details are used. In the language of the Act, the clinic is the data fiduciary.
What the booking form collects
- Your name.
- Your phone number.
- Your preferred day and time.
- The reason for your visit, in a few words.
Please do not put detailed medical information in the form. The dentist will ask you about your health history in person.
Why the clinic collects it
- To call or message you to confirm a time.
- To prepare for your visit, so the right dentist is available.
- To contact you about that appointment if it needs to change.
The clinic asks for your consent when you submit the form. Submitting the form is your agreement to be contacted about the appointment. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting the clinic.
Who sees it
Clinic staff who handle appointments and the dentists involved in your care. The clinic does not sell your details or use them for marketing by third parties.
Where it is stored and for how long
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits in aggregate: which pages are read and roughly how people arrive. This helps the clinic improve the pages. It does not tell the clinic who you are.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can ask the clinic to:
- Access. Tell you what personal data it holds about you and how it is used.
- Correction. Correct details that are wrong or out of date.
- Erasure. Delete details it no longer needs.
- Grievance redressal. Look into a complaint about how your data is handled.
- Nominate someone. Name a person who can exercise these rights for you if you die or cannot do so yourself.
Children
If you are booking for a child under 18, please use your own phone number. The clinic needs a parent or guardian's consent to handle a child's data.
