A clinic built around one dentist you know
Suman Dental Care was founded by Dr. Nimisha Pandya, who has been practising dentistry in Ahmedabad since 1995. She trained for her BDS at Government Dental College, Ahmedabad. The clinic is women-owned, and it sits on the ground floor of Swiss Plaza in Nehrunagar, Ambawadi.
The name Suman belongs to the clinic. It is not a person's name.
How the clinic works
Most people do not know what is wrong with their teeth, so they do not know whom to ask for. At Suman Dental Care, you see a general dentist first. Dr. Pandya examines you, finds out what is going on and explains it in plain words.
If you need more advanced care, the clinic has three dentists with a master's degree (MDS) in their field, and they work in the same clinic:
- Dr. Neha Agrawal, endodontist, for root canal treatment and re-treatment.
- Dr. Ohm Rajani, oral and maxillofacial surgeon, for extractions, wisdom teeth and implant surgery.
- Dr. Aashka Doshi, orthodontist, for braces and aligners.
You do not need to travel across the city to a second clinic for a referral. Your records stay in one place.
Explaining before treating
The clinic's approach is simple: explain first, treat second. In practice this means:
- You are told what the examination found, with X-rays shown on screen where they are needed.
- You are given options, including the option to wait, where that is safe.
- You get a written estimate before treatment begins. Read how costs are explained.
- You are told how many visits to expect and what happens in each.
